From March 19 to 21, 2025, bachelor and master students of the “Environmental Design” educational programs, accompanied by the lecturers of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design – Danylo Kosenko (Head of the Department, Associate Professor), Oleksandra Shmelova-Nesterenko (Associate Professor), Ruslan Ahliullin (Associate Professor), Natalia Ryshkevych (Senior Lecturer), Ihor Antonenko (Senior Lecturer), Svitlana Ostapyk (Assistant), Lev Dubovenko (Assistant), and Kateryna Sanina (Guest Lecturer) visited the Kyiv International Furniture Forum (KIFF), traditionally held at the International Exhibition Centre.
This visit provided a valuable opportunity for future designers to explore current trends in furniture design and production, while studying a wide range of furniture products, materials, fittings, and components presented by both Ukrainian and international manufacturers.
During the exhibition, students were introduced to new technologies, innovative solutions, and design approaches for shaping contemporary residential and commercial spaces. Special attention was given to exploring construction features, material quality, ergonomics, and current stylistic trends in furniture design.
The visit also provided opportunities for networking and direct communication with manufacturers, designers, and professionals in the furniture industry.
The knowledge and insights gained during the event will be highly beneficial to students in their academic journey, particularly during the development of practical and graduation projects. It will also serve as inspiration for future creative explorations in the fields of environmental and furniture design.
