PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF STUDENTS AT THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION AND COMPUTER TECHNOLOGIES THROUGH PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE

In the period from February 10 to March 8, 2025, students  of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education of the Department of Information and Computer Technologies underwent practical training as a mandatory educational component of the educational and professional programs: “Software Engineering”, “IT Project Management”, “Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies”, “Computer-Integrated Technological Processes and Production”.

The practical training for students majoring in 121 “Software Engineering” and 126 “Information Systems and Technologies” was held in Room 4-0912 at the Department of Information and Computer Technologies in the laboratory “Software Engineering and Information Systems” on the LMS platform Strum from Genesis; for students majoring in 174 “Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics”, the practical training was held in the laboratories of the Department of ICT “Design and Modeling of Automated Systems” and “Automated Control Systems and Microprocessor Technology”. Pre-diploma and research training took place in domestic companies and enterprises.

This year’s main internship sites were the Kyiv Electromechanical College (Kyiv) and modern Ukrainian enterprises such as MHP PJSC (Kyiv), SURIKAT UEI LLC (Kyiv), AVIASOFT LLC (Kyiv), PAVUTINA.NET LLC (Kyiv), UNI-SERT LLC (Kyiv), GOLUBENKO FOP (Kyiv) and others with which cooperation agreements have been signed.

During their internships, students majoring in 121 “Software Engineering” and 126 “Information Systems and Technologies” consolidated their knowledge in programming, testing, IT project management, database management, using modern software development frameworks and tools, and implementing digital solutions to optimize business processes. They had the opportunity to join the development of real projects, work in teams with experienced professionals, which allowed them to better understand the specifics of professional activities in the IT field.

Higher education students of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education majoring in 174 “Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies” have consolidated their knowledge of the design, modeling, and maintenance of automated control systems, microprocessor technology, sensor devices, robotic systems, and data collection and processing systems in production environments. During the internship, students deepened their understanding of automation processes at real enterprises and improved their skills in working with modern equipment and software.

The students successfully defended their internship reports, demonstrating an appropriate level of professional training, practical skills and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world conditions. The defenses were held in the form of presentations and discussions with the academic staff of the Department of Information and Computer Technologies, during which students presented the results of their tasks, analyzed production processes, and suggested ways to improve the technologies and solutions they used in practice.

We sincerely thank our esteemed stakeholders for providing valuable internship opportunities for students of the Department of Information and Computer Technologies. Your openness to cooperation, support of the educational process, and commitment to creating real-world learning environments are deeply appreciated.

Your contribution plays a crucial role in the training of highly qualified professionals and significantly supports the development of competitive specialists for today’s IT sector and automation industry.
