VISIT OF THE DELEGATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF APPLIED SCIENCES IN ŁOMŻA (REPUBLIC OF POLAND) WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE ERASMUS+ KA171 STAFF MOBILITY PROGRAM

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Training Mobility program, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design hosts the first delegation of scientists from the International Academy of Applied Sciences in Lomza (Poland).

The official meeting of the Polish delegation consisting of Dr. inz. Jolanta Puczel, Dr. Wiesław Zawadski and postgraduate students Natalia Moshenets and Lukasz Pisarek was held with the participation of Rector of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine Ivan Gryshchenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Activities, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Laureate  of the Borys Paton National Prize of Ukraine Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko and coordinator of the Ukrainian-Polish Center of KNUTD, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Business Design, Doctor of Economics, Professor Mariana Shkoda.

In his welcoming remarks, Ivan Gryshchenko emphasized the fundamental role of international cooperation in shaping the future of higher education and its integration into the European research and education landscape. He emphasized that academic mobility programs are not only a mechanism for the exchange of knowledge and technology, but also a powerful catalyst for establishing long-term scientific collaborations and mutual enrichment of research practices between partner universities.

With warmth and sincere gratitude, the Rector noted the unwavering solidarity and comprehensive support that Polish colleagues from the International Academy of Applied Sciences in Łomża provide to the Ukrainian people in this tragic period of history. He emphasized the extraordinary courage and deep commitment to scientific duty of the Polish delegation, who, realizing all the risks associated with the war in Ukraine, decided to undertake this mobility. This act is not only a testament to strong professional ties, but also a vivid manifestation of genuine human empathy and faith in the resilience of the Ukrainian people and their desire to develop science and education even in the most difficult circumstances. “Your presence here today is a powerful symbol of our unity and joint struggle for a brighter future,” Rector concluded.

In response, the Dean, Dr. inz. Jolanta Puczel, expressed her sincere gratitude to Rector Ivan Gryshchenko for the warm welcome and fruitful cooperation. In her emotional address, she emphasized her deep impression of the courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people, who demonstrate exceptional resilience in the struggle for their freedom and independence.

The Dean expressed special admiration for the academic community of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, noting their continuous research and commitment to development despite the extremely difficult wartime circumstances. She emphasized that the indomitable spirit of Ukrainian scientists, their dedication to education and science, as well as their struggle for the future of their children, including in the scientific field, inspire deep respect and solidarity from the Polish academic community.

The Staff Training began with a study visit of Polish scientists to the key facilities of the KNUTD research infrastructure. The delegation of Polish scientists visited a number of specialized scientific laboratories of the University, including:

- Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Sewing Technologies in the Fashion Industry;

- Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Design and Technological Preparation of Leather Goods Production;

- Educational and Scientific 3D Laboratory of Anthropometric Research;

- Educational and Scientific Laboratory “Newest Materials and Processes in Electrochemical Energy”;

- Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Molecular Pharmacology, Chemogenomics and Biogerontology.

During his visit to the Educational and Research Laboratory of Molecular Pharmacology, Chemogenomics and Biogerontology, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Bessarabov conducted specialized training on the methodology of modeling nanostructured ecological systems aimed at decontamination of ecotoxicant substrates. During the training, approaches to the in-silico determination of endo- and ecotoxicity based on QSAR analysis of toxic effects on model organisms, as well as the assessment of potential bioaccumulation of key chemical compounds that are intermediates or end products of basic chemical reactions were considered.

In the Educational and Scientific Laboratory “Newest Materials and Processes in Electrochemical Energy”, Doctor of Technical Sciences Khomenko Volodymyr held a scientific and practical seminar on topical issues of development and application of materials for electrochemical energy.

As part of the program, the delegation of scientists took an active part in the X All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Innovative Trends in Training Specialists in a Multicultural and Multilingual Globalized World”.

This authoritative scientific platform has become a valuable platform for the exchange of relevant scientific ideas and practical experience in the field of modernization of the educational process in the context of modern globalization challenges. Participation in the conference provided our Polish colleagues with a unique opportunity:

- To get acquainted with current research and practical developments of Ukrainian scientists in the field of innovative development of educational programs in the context of globalization.

- To join discussions on key issues related to the training of competitive professionals who can work effectively in a multicultural and multilingual environment.

- To exchange experience and scientific ideas with Ukrainian colleagues, which will help enrich the scientific perspectives of both sides.

- Establish personal contacts with representatives of the Ukrainian scientific community, which is an important foundation for future cooperation and implementation of joint research projects.

- Expand the understanding of current trends in Ukrainian higher education and the peculiarities of training specialists in the context of European integration processes.

The participation of the delegation of the International Academy of Applied Sciences in Lomzha in this conference was an important step in strengthening scientific and educational ties between our higher education institutions, opening new prospects for effective cooperation and mutual professional growth.

At the end of the fruitful first day of the visit, KNUTD Rector Ivan Gryshchenko held a ceremony of awarding certificates to participants of the Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Training program for a delegation of scientists from the International Academy of Applied Sciences in Lomzha.

 

 

Continuing the program, the Polish colleagues had an exclusive opportunity to get acquainted with the unique collection of the KNUTD Museum of Embroidery. The tour allowed the guests to deeply experience the richness and originality of Ukrainian folk art, with special attention paid to Krolevets towels, whose weaving technology is an unsurpassed phenomenon of national cultural heritage.

The day symbolically ended with the unfolding of the majestic Unity Towel. This unique artifact, which combines authentic embroidery samples from all historical and ethnographic regions of Ukraine, became the embodiment of national unity and the centuries-old artistic tradition of the Ukrainian people. This emotional moment emphasized the profound importance of not only scientific but also cultural cooperation in strengthening friendly ties between our countries.
