INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC EXCHANGE IN THE FIELD OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: ERASMUS+ KA171 OPEN LECTURE WITH A DELEGATION FROM LOMZA

On April 14, 2025, within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Mobility Training program, a delegation of highly respected scientists from the International Academy of Applied Sciences in Lomza (Poland) joined a resonant open lecture on “Artificial Intelligence: Where We Are Now”.

The Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Mobility Training program is an important tool for intensifying the international exchange of knowledge, experience and scientific achievements between higher education institutions from different countries, as well as promoting the professional development of academic and administrative staff.

The visit of the Polish delegation included a comprehensive acquaintance with the scientific and educational environment of KNUTD, including a presentation of the scientific infrastructure, leading research centers, and innovative projects of the university. In addition, several specialized trainings were held to share expertise in the organization of research activities, management of international grant projects, and implementation of advanced pedagogical technologies.

These events created a favorable platform for interactive communication, exchange of ideas, and establishment of long-term professional relationships between representatives of both academic institutions, which is the basis for future fruitful cooperation.

An important element of the program was an open lecture on the extremely relevant and interdisciplinary topic “Artificial Intelligence: Where We Are Now”. The format of the open lecture provided the broad academic community with an opportunity to learn about the latest scientific developments in the field of AI and take part in a fruitful discussion on the impact of AI development on modern science. The lecture was thematically focused on the rapid evolution of the artificial intelligence paradigm and aroused considerable interest among representatives of the scientific community from the Republic of Poland, as well as among research and teaching staff and students of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design. The lecture provided a comprehensive analysis of the current state of artificial intelligence development, which contributed to the formation of a systematic understanding of its key technological achievements, identified scientific and technical barriers, and potential vectors for further evolution. Particular attention was paid to the dominant trends in the development of artificial intelligence in the modern global context, with an emphasis on the exponential nature of its improvement, as well as ethical issues that accompany the intensive development of artificial intelligence. Consideration of these issues in an interdisciplinary context emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach to understanding the impact of artificial intelligence on modern society and future generations.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the esteemed scientists from the International Academy of Applied Sciences in Lomza: Dr. inz. Jolanta Puczel, Dr. Wiesław Zawadski, PhD students Natalia Moshenets and Lukasz Pisarek for their active participation in the planned activities of the Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Training program, which contributes to the intensification of academic dialogue and exchange of best practices in the field of science and education. We highly appreciate the openness of our Polish colleagues to cooperation and the desire to develop inter-institutional relations.
