On April 16, 2025, the Faculty of Design was visited by schoolchildren of Lyceum №14 of the Dniprovskyi district of Kyiv, studying under the Waldorf pedagogy program. The guests were welcomed by Olena Gerasymenko, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Design, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor, Ruslana Bezuhla, Head of the Department of Graphic Design, Doctor of Art History, Danylo Kosenko, Head of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, Candidate of Art History, Associate Professor.
Olena Gerasymenko introduced the students to the educational programs of the faculty, admission requirements, and tasks of creative competitions for the educational programs of the faculty. Heads of departments Danylo Kosenko and Ruslana Bezuhla spoke in more detail about the content of educational programs, graduates' qualifications, and employment opportunities after graduation. Special attention was paid to students' work on real projects during their studies, opportunities to participate in all-Ukrainian and international competitions, and creating their own portfolio of works as a prerequisite for successful employment in the future.
After the introductory conversation, the students visited an exhibition of works by students of the Faculty of Design at the KNUTD Museum, the Costume Museum, as well as laboratories and computer classes.
Maryna Yatsenko, associate professor of the Department of Art and Fashion Design, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor, and students of EP “Fashion Design” demonstrated the process of working on the discipline of “Formation and mock-up of clothing”, and Natalia Ryshkevych, senior lecturer of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, demonstrated the discipline of “Fundamentals of Computer Design” for the students of the EP “Environmental Design”. The guests also looked with interest at the shelter, which allows the university to conduct classroom training in wartime.
Finally, the students visited the exhibition of artistic works by teachers and students of the KNUTD "Sunflower - a symbol of Ukraine!" at the "Art Space" exhibition center.
