LABOR MARKET NEEDS ANALYSIS CONDUCTED BY STUDENTS OF KNUTD

At the initiative of the KNUTD Career and Employment Center, and with the participation of students from the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies—namely, the C2 “Political Science,” D8 “Law,” and C1 “Economics and International Economic Relations” programs—an applied research project has been launched to study current labor market demands in the legal field. The focus is placed on examining employer expectations regarding the professional competencies required for a successful career start.

LLC "LS Center for Protection" joined the research — an employer-partner that has been successfully collaborating with students of the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies at KNUTD for over a year.

As part of the project, a questionnaire was developed and a survey was conducted among students of the D8 “Law” program; among D8 “Law” students who combine their studies with professional activities; and among employees of LLC "LS Center for Protection" where KNUTD students undertake internships and gain employment.

The student research team is led by Artem KOROL, Ulyana BUCHYNSKA, and Andrii YUSHCHENKO, who coordinate the stages of the survey and analytical synthesis.

Political science student Andrii YUSHCHENKO focused on studying the experience of working students.

Law students Artem KOROL and Ulyana Buchynska ensured communication with representatives of the employer company.

At the analytical stage, the collected data is being systematized with the participation of economics students and Andrii YUSHCHENKO.

Representatives of LLC "LS Center for Protection" expressed a positive assessment of KNUTD students’ analytical thinking, knowledge of the regulatory framework, and ability to work with legal documents. Among their recommendations were strengthening practical training—particularly in working with contracts, applied case studies, and the development of soft skills.

The analysis phase of the survey involving students with practical experience in the legal field is currently ongoing.

The results obtained will be analyzed and presented in an analytical report, which will provide practical guidelines for improving the educational process, strengthening career support for students, and expanding cooperation with employers.
