On 1 May 2025, at the initiative of Associate Professor Vira BURNAZOVA, Head of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture at KNUTD, students majoring in 026 “Performing Arts” and 034 “Cultural Studies”, along with guests from NACCKIM, participated in an online guest masterclass on the fundamentals of working with digital audio stations and music creation.
The speaker of the masterclass was Oleksandr Kovalenko, Junior Researcher at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and PhD student at the Institute of Digitalisation of Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine (supervisor – Dr. Anna Yatsyshyn, Doctor of Pedagogy, Senior Researcher, and Head of the Sector for the Formation of Databases of Scientific Publications and Events). Oleksandr is also the author of the information resource “Creating Electronic Music”.
According to the event program, participants of the masterclass had the opportunity to explore artificial intelligence software for music generation (using SunoAI as an example), become acquainted with FL Studio as a digital audio workstation (alongside other tools such as Ableton and Sound Forge), receive valuable practical advice on creating their own music tracks, and gain access to information resources designed for individuals without formal music education who are developing professional competencies in electronic music through non-formal education.
In conclusion, Oleksandr Kovalenko invited the participants to register for a free training course. Students and lecturers of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture, along with guests, expressed their gratitude to the knowledgeable speaker and all participants for their engagement and inspiration to pursue creativity.
