On May 2, 2025, 2nd year students majoring in 026 “Performing Arts” (Groups BAMP1-23, BAMP2-23) of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design visited the Oleksandr Dovzhenko Film Studio.
The aim of the event was to familiarize students with the history of Ukrainian cinema – particularly the legacy of one of Ukraine’s oldest film studios – and to provide insight into the filmmaking process, from concept development to on-screen realization.
During the tour, special attention was paid to the figure of Oleksandr Dovzhenko, a prominent Ukrainian film director, writer and artist whose work significantly influenced the formation of the characteristic features, the “face” of Ukrainian cinema.
Such meetings play a vital role in the training of future theatre and film professionals, as they effectively combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience and inspire independent creative endeavors. We sincerely appreciate the creative initiative and leadership of Associate Professor V.L. Shalyha and are confident that many more interesting and professionally valuable events will follow.
