From April 14 to 19, 2025, the university team consisting of Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Activities Liudmyla Hanushchak-Efimenko, Head of the International Institute of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Svitlana Arabuli, Head of the Research Department Liudmyla Halavska, and Director of the Labor and Career Center Natalia Fastovets participated in Staff Week 2025, organized at Samsun Ondokuz Mais University (OMU) - a partner university that is the largest research regional university on the Black Sea coast, with a strong internationalization development policy.
The university has 49,500 full-time students and 2,300 part-time and distance learning students, and 4,293 scientific, pedagogical and administrative staff.
This event brought together about 20 representatives of universities from 6 countries around the world, including France, Switzerland, Norway, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Ukraine.
The team presented the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design as one of the unique technological and artistic universities of Ukraine and the best university in terms of implementing sustainable development policies and principles.
They presented the scientific activities of the faculties and institutes of the university, because the university has many years of experience in implementing high-tech, artistic, design, ecological and economic projects in cooperation with business and government to achieve a sustainable future.
In addition to teamwork, according to the program, they worked in groups according to the distribution of organizers from the International Office.
In particular, we participated in the development of Sustainability research and education with colleagues from the University of Applied Research (Switzerland). We discussed how to integrate sustainability into scientific projects, educational programs, student research, and form a model of a sustainable development ecosystem.
The main project vectors were:
- Adherence to the principles of sustainable development in scientific research;
- Use of the theory of the donor economy and program initiatives, formation of a "green university".
- Formation of skills in managing environmental scientific projects for applicants of all specialties.
- Integration of sustainable development into student life.
At the end of the program, all participants received new knowledge, gained experience, and formed areas of joint research for further implementation of international activities!
