From May 5 to May 9, 2025, a delegation from Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, consisting of Nataliia Fastovets, PhD in Public Administration, and Olena Yershova, PhD in Economics, took part in the Academic Mobility Week organized by Modern Business School (MBS), Belgrade, Serbia within the framework of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching program.
Modern Business School is a contemporary private higher education institution operating in accordance with European standards and actively implementing innovative educational practices. The acquaintance of KNUTD representatives with the Modern Business School began with a warm meeting with MBS colleagues: Aleksandar Dejanović, Ph.D., Assist. Professor, Director of the Project Development Center, Nina Maksimović Sekulić, Ph.D., Assist. Professor, Assistant Director for International Cooperation, Miloš Dragosavac, Ph.D., Assist. Professor. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between universities, current challenges of higher education and science, opportunities for mutual cooperation in future research projects and international scientific events. Professors of the Modern Business School emphasized that the educational process at the University is focused on developing students' practical skills, mentoring support, and shaping entrepreneurial thinking.
The academic mobility program provided for an active exchange of experience in the field of science and education, which covered key aspects of the organization of the educational process in higher education institutions. Particular emphasis was placed on modern teaching methods, approaches to the organization of student research, and the development of academic partnerships between universities in Ukraine and Serbia. In particular, as part of the mobility week, Nataliia Fastovets and Olena Yershova conducted workshops and trainings for bachelor students of the Modern Business School, the key topics of which were innovative entrepreneurship in sustainable economic development strategies and startup management in an uncertain environment: best practices.
The X International Scientific Student Conference SKEI 2025 Digital Business Management and Transformation: Key Challenges and Trends, which brought together representatives of universities from Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and which was joined by the KNUTD team from Ukraine, was an important event of the Academic Mobility Week.
The SKEI 2025 conference program included three parallel interdisciplinary sessions on digital technologies, artificial intelligence, management and marketing, healthcare management, finance, law, ethics, and the green transition. The topics covered included digital transformation, innovations in business and education, sustainable development, environmental initiatives, and anti-corruption approaches. The conference has become an important platform for international scientific exchange and establishing academic partnerships with European universities. In particular, during the SKEI 2025 program events, Ph.D Fastovets N. and Ph.D Yershova O. met and discussed with the Director of Modern Business School, Ph.D., Professor Čedomir Ljubojević the issues of digitalization of the educational process and research of teachers and students of KNUTD and MBS.
The participation of KNUTD representatives in the Academic Mobility Week at MBS contributed to strengthening academic partnerships between higher education institutions, expanding scientific contacts, exchanging methodological approaches, and laying the foundation for future joint educational and research projects.
