Developing the horizons of international cooperation and partnerships with universities of the European Union, from May 7 to 9, Kyiv National University of Technology and Design participated as a co-organizer in the 15th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Local and Regional Self-Government: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow".
The conference is jointly organized by the Lavoslav Ruzicka Institute of Applied Sciences in Vukovar (Croatia), the Polytechnic Institute in Šibenik (Croatia), the University of Rijeka (Croatia), the University of Economics and Justice in Novi Sad (Croatia), the State School of Public Administration (Croatia) and the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design (Ukraine).
Among the honored guests of the conference were the State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Administration and Digital Transformation of the Republic of Croatia – Sanžina Rukavina, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia – Nikola Mazhar, Head of the Financial Affairs Sector of the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth – Mirela Zagorac, Director of the National Memorial Hospital Vukovar – Anton Blažanović, Mayor of Vinkovci – Ivan Bosančić, Head of the Administrative Department of Education, Sports and Defenders of the City of Vukovar – Darko Dimić, Head of the Administrative Department of Education and Social Activities of the Vukovar-Srijem County – Jadranka Mustapić Karlić, as well as the entire scientific community and students of the co-organizing and participating universities.
Over the course of fifteen years, the Conference on the Development of Public Administration has become a recognizable scientific and professional platform. Speakers included vice-presidents of well-known professional associations, directors of state institutions and professors of partner universities; the presented reports and scientific results were posted in the Web of Science (ESCI) scientometric database.
On behalf of the university rector, academician Ivan Gryshchenko, the vice-rector for scientific and international activities, Professor Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko, delivered welcoming remarks and thanked the management, the entire academic community of the University of Applied Sciences "Lavoslav Ruzhychka" in Vukovar for fruitful cooperation, support during martial law, as well as international units that have been providing the opportunity for students and teachers of the university to participate in the academic mobility program within the framework of the Erasmus+ project for the third year in a row. At the conference, Professor Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko presented a report on the topic: "Integrative development of higher education institutions with business and government as a pro-social cooperation of the future."
