LECTURE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGNERS AS PART OF THE UKRAINIAN DESIGN AND INNOVATION WEEK

On April 29, 2025, a public lecture “Composition in Contemporary Environmental Design” was delivered at KNUTD by Tetiana Bulhakova, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Interior and Furniture Design.

The lecture was part of a series of scheduled events held during Design Week at KNUTD and the broader Ukrainian Design and Innovation Week. It was available online to all interested participants. The audience included bachelor and master students from the Faculty of Design, as well as guests and participants of the Ukrainian Design and Innovation Week.

During the lecture, attendees had the opportunity to explore the principles of professional approaches to shaping contemporary environments, grounded in the psychophysiological laws of perception. Key aspects of harmonious spatial composition were examined and reinterpreted through the lecturer’s personal design experience, supported by examples from real-life projects.

At the end of the session, attendees inquired about the possibility of continuing the topic as part of a lecture course and how they could enroll. Currently, it is proposed that this course be introduced as an elective subject for students in the upcoming academic year.
