A brief report summary of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design team on the implementation of the Academic Managers Professional Development Program, which is a unique initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which is implemented by the British Council within the framework of the joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the World Bank "Improving Higher Education in Ukraine for Results".

During May 21-24, participants of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design program had the opportunity to discuss leadership in higher education, strategy, vision, traditional and experimental supervisory boards of HEIs, and gained new management experience from British colleagues.

Step by step, the university team consisting of vice-rectors Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko, Volodymyr Statsenko, director of the institute Svitlana Arabuli, deans of the faculty Natalia Ostapenko and Igor Panasiuk, heads of structural departments Liudmyla Halavska, Olena Gryhorevska, Olena Yevseytseva, library director Tetiana Bukoros is moving towards building its own institutional strategies to strengthen higher education in Ukraine and make it worthy of a European future.

We would like to thank the Director General of the Directorate of Higher Education and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Oleg Sharov for useful knowledge, the Director of the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Iryna Drach, the Vice-Rector of Zaporizhzhia National University Olena Tupakhina, the program mentors Larisa Shaulska, Svitlana Kalinina, Hanna Martyniuk, and Maxim Folomeev for support in the second module of the program.

We would like to thank the President of the International Foundation for Educational Policy Research Taras Finikov for the valuable experience in applying management reforms in higher education, and, accordingly, the opportunity to present the updated profile of the university team taking into account domestic and foreign experience.

We would like to thank the skillful moderation and the organization at the highest level to the head of the expert group of the program Svitlana Kalashnikova, representatives of Mariupol State University - vice-rector Tatiana Marena and professor Andriy Stoyka.
