OPENING OF THE PERSONAL ART EXHIBITION OF PROFESSOR YEVHEN GULA FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF GRAPHIC DESIGN

On 31 May 2025, the grand opening of the personal art exhibition ‘‘PROVIDENCE’’ by Yevhen Gula, Honoured Worker of Education of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, member of the Union of Designers of Ukraine, Professor of the Department of Graphic Design, the Faculty of Design, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, took place.

Yevhen Gula is a graphic artist, painter, and monumentalist, as well as a participant in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. His works are in public and private collections across Ukraine, Poland, Germany, France, the USA, China, and other countries.

On behalf of the Rector of KNUTD, Ivan Gryshchenko, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, and Honored Educator of Ukraine, Kalyna Pashkevych, Doctor of Engineering, Professor, and Dean of the Faculty of Design, congratulated Yevhen Gula on the opening of his exhibition. She conveyed warm words of appreciation and heartfelt wishes for continued creative inspiration. She noted that Yevhen Gula has been working at KNUTD for over 30 years, having educated and mentored many talented professionals – artists, graphic designers, and visual creators. He previously headed the Department of Graphic Design and was among the founders of the University’s design education program.

Warm words of greeting came from friends and colleagues of Professor Yevhen Gula: Ihor Voloshchuk, Deputy Chairman of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Bohdan Batrukh, Ukrainian film producer, film expert and philanthropist, and Leonid Sotnyk, Ukrainian artist, Honoured Artist of Ukraine.

Serhii Komisarov, Honored Journalist of Ukraine and member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, welcomed the exhibition and highlighted its impressive scale – featuring 80 works by the artist. He noted that the pieces captivate with their striking color combinations, balanced compositions, and creative artistic solutions. The works also convey powerful messages relevant to our time and reflect the events and realities of contemporary society.

The exhibition opening was moderated by Swiatoslaw Podlewsky, artist, PhD in History, Associate Professor of the Department of Graphic Design of KNUTD.

The grand opening of the exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the artist’s birth was attended by Natalia Chuprina, Doctor of Art History, Professor, Head of the Department of Art and Fashion Design of KNUTD, Alla Horbunova, President of the International Charitable Foundation ‘‘Sunflower’’, Leonid Bernat, artist, senior lecturer at the Department of Fine Arts at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Citi University, Pavlo Sharko, artist, Serhii Lavrusenko, photographer, assistant at the Department of Multimedia Design of KNUTD, as well as the artist’s colleagues from the Department of Graphic Design of KNUTD: Oksana Maznichenko, Associate Professor, Oleksandr Krotevych, PhD, Associate Professor, Oleksandr Vasyliev, PhD, Senior Lecturer, Mariia Kovalenko, Assistant and others, as well as students of KNUTD.

We sincerely congratulate Yevhen Gula on the opening of the exhibition and wish him good health, inspiration, long life, prosperity, good luck and further success!

The exhibition will be open until June 8, 2025, from 12:00 to 18:00, at the Exhibition Halls of the Central House of Artists of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, 1-5 Sichovykh Striltsiv Street, Kyiv.
