STRENGTHENING COOPERATION BETWEEN THE FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES AND STAKEHOLDERS AT THE INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRIAL FORUM 2025

On May 28, 2025, representatives of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) visited the annual International Industrial Forum 2025, which traditionally took place at the International Exhibition Center in Kyiv from May 27 to 29, 2025.

The university delegation included Professor Ihor Panasiuk, Dean of the Faculty; Associate Professor Oleksii Volianyk, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering; Associate Professor Yurii Lebedenko from the Department of Information and Computer Technologies; Kateryna Kuchma, Head of the University’s Building Maintenance and Repair Division; Mykhailo Sheremet, Head of the KNUTD Energy Efficiency Center; as well as master’s and PhD students specializing in G3 Electrical Engineering, G7 Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics, and G11 Mechanical Engineering (by specialization)

The International Industrial Forum is the largest exhibition event in Ukraine dedicated to industrial manufacturing. It annually gathers leading domestic and international companies, equipment manufacturers, providers of engineering solutions, as well as researchers, educators, and innovation specialists. The event covers areas such as metallurgy, mechanical engineering, robotics, production automation, additive technologies, and Industry 4.0.

The purpose of the KNUTD delegation’s visit was to explore the latest technological advancements, analyse current trends in mechanical engineering and automation, and establish contacts with potential stakeholders, employers, and industrial partners interested in advancing modern engineering education.

During the forum, university representatives held a series of meetings with executives and technical experts from leading manufacturing enterprises. Discussions focused on potential collaboration in the fields of dual education, joint scientific research, development of laboratory and technical infrastructure, and the integration of practice-oriented components into the academic curriculum.

Participation in such large-scale international events contributes to the deeper integration of the university into the professional engineering community. It enables the institution to maintain a high standard of its educational programs and to adapt them to the evolving needs of the labour market.

As a result of the forum, preliminary agreements were reached with several high-tech enterprises regarding cooperation in areas such as student industrial internships, curriculum updates in line with industry requirements, and the joint implementation of research projects.

Participation in the International Industrial Forum 2025 confirmed the high level of professional competence of the faculty's representatives and demonstrated KNUTD’s active role in shaping a modern engineering education environment.
