From May 26 to 28, 2025, the XXII International Specialized Exhibition “Protection Technologies/Firefighters” took place at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC). In recent years, this forum has become the leading industry event in Ukraine in the fields of fire and industrial safety, emergency response, civil protection, and occupational safety. One of the highlights of the exhibition was the stand showcasing a collaborative project between Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) and the Association of Civil Protection Specialists. The exhibit, focused on innovations in basalt and carbon composite technologies, drew considerable attention from industry professionals and visitors alike.
KNUTD students Anastasia Tsverkunova (Group BNT-21) and Valeria Dmytryk (Group BNT-23) showcased their innovative project – a multilayer air purification system – and demonstrated the potential of using 3D printing technology to create modules filled with basalt, highlighting its relevance for safety and environmental protection technologies.
With the support of Serhii Khopersky, one of the founding members of the Association, the students gave presentations and took part in the discussions during the conference that was held as part of the exhibition program.
Events like this offer a valuable platform for aspiring specialists to present their innovations and build meaningful connections with potential collaborators and stakeholders.
