DISCUSSION OF EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMS AT THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION AND COMPUTER TECHNOLOGIES

On May 2, 2025, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) hosted an extended discussion of educational and professional programs (EPPs) implemented by the Department of Information and Computer Technologies (ICT) and the Department of Automation and Computer-Integrated Transport Technologies (ACITT) of Kyiv Institute of Railway Transport of the National Transport University (KIRT NTU).

The subject of the discussion was the following EPPs:

  • “Software Engineering” (bachelor’s degree, KNUTD) and “Software Engineering of Smart Systems” (master’s degree, KNUTD);
  • Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies (bachelor’s degree, KNUTD);
  • “Computer-Integrated Technological Processes and Production” (master’s degree, KNUTD);
  • Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies (bachelor’s degree, KIZT NTU);
  • Computer Information and Control Systems (master’s degree, KIPT NTU).

The event was attended by:

Vladyslava Skidan – Head of the Department of Information and Computer Technologies at KNUTD, PhD, Associate Professor;

Yurii Lebedenko, Antonina Volivach, Dmytro Novak, Tetiana Demkivska – PhDs, Associate Professors of the Department of ICT;

Maksym Sukalo – PhD, Senior Lecturer, Anton Kyrychenko – PhD, Senior Lecturer, Vladyslav Pylypenko – Senior Lecturer;

Halyna Holub – Acting Head of the Department of ACITT of NTU, PhD, Associate Professor;

Ivan Kulbovsky – PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of ACITT, NTU;

Iryna Voronko – PhD, Senior Lecturer at the Department of ACITT, NTU;

Volodymyr Muravyov – PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Systems and Telecommunication Technologies, NTU;

Oleksandr Vahanov – PhD, Professor of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Systems and Telecommunication Technologies, NTU.

During the discussion, the participants paid special attention to modernizing the content of the EPPs, updating programs in accordance with the requirements of the labor market, integrating research results into the educational process, and ensuring academic integrity and interdepartmental interaction.

An important component was the involvement of higher education students in the discussion, which made it possible to take into account their opinion on the quality of the educational process, professional orientation and employment prospects.

As part of the cooperation between the two departments, Maksym Sukalo, PhD, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Information and Computer Technologies of KNUTD, held a practical master class for students of the Department of Automation and Computer-Integrated Transport Technologies of KIZT NTU.

The students learned about the principles of operation and assembly of hardware radio frequency modules, learned how to quickly and safely create wireless data channels using the Arduino RF Kit. They assembled transmitter and receiver circuits, programmed them, and ensured successful wireless messaging at a distance of up to 20 meters indoors.

We sincerely thank all the participants for their active cooperation, interest and professional contribution to the development of the educational environment!
