Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design maintains its position in the independent international non-profit Ukrainian National H-index Ranking 2025, which is aimed at assessing the scientific productivity of researchers, research groups, and organizations specializing in scientific research.
KNUTD holds the 89th position in the overall ranking among research institutions and educational establishments, marking a rise of 3 places compared to the previous period. The University is included in the group of higher education institutions with high scientific potential.
In the second quarter of 2025, the Ukrainian National H-index Ranking evaluated the scientific performance of 461 research institutions and 232 higher education institutions.
KNUTD’s upward movement in the ranking is the result of the dedicated work of its research community and the effective management of the University’s scientific activities by the heads of research schools and groups.
The ranking takes into account the cumulative Hirsch index (h-index) based on data from scientometric databases and platforms such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. Using this data, the National H-index Ranking indicator is calculated, which determines the institution’s position in the ranking.
On the Ukrainian National H-index Ranking 2025 webpage, one can also view the Top 1000 Ukrainian Researchers, evaluated by their h-indexes in Scopus and Google Scholar databases – a list that includes KNUTD researchers.

Participation in rankings allows for the effective and organic management of the scientific potential of KNUTD, the shaping of internal scientific and publication policies, the representation of the University’s research capacity on the international stage, and the development of scientific competitiveness and innovative initiatives. For individual authors, ranking results serve as a guide in shaping their personal trajectories of professional productivity.
