On May 3, 2025, the academic staff of the Department of Information and Computer Technologies took part in the conference “Innovating Education: Approaches to Non-formal Education and Innovation for Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions”, organized by the leading Ukrainian product IT company Genesis.
The event brought together university professors, experts in innovative education, and representatives of the IT industry to discuss current challenges and prospects for the development of higher education in Ukraine through the lens of non-formal learning, digitalization, and technological solutions.
The Department was represented at the conference by: Vladyslava Skidan – Head of the Department, guarantor of the EPP, Oleh Nikonov – Professor, guarantor of the EPP, Antonina Volivach – Associate Professor, guarantor of the EPP, Yurii Lebedenko – Associate Professor, guarantor of the EPP.

Panel discussion “Strategy of Digital Development of Innovations of Ukraine until 2030” with the participation of: Oksana BEREZHNA, Director General of the Directorate for Innovation and Science-Real Sector Relations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; Serhiy KVIT, President of the National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy; Andriy ZAIKIN, Founder and CEO of YEP Accelerator; Ksenia SEMENOVA, Acting Rector of the State University Kyiv Aviation Institute and moderator of the panel discussion – Natalia Mykolska, Executive Director of the Technology Business Union Diia. The practical part of the event included workshops:
“Student Assistance at UCU: From Initiative to Tradition” by Yaroslav PRYTULA, first vice-rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University;
“Emotional Intelligence of a Teacher: How to Take into Account and Work with the Emotional-Volitional Sphere?” by Ilya BACHURIN, trainer and training methodologist at Fortune 500 companies, co-founder of Product IT Foundation for Education;
“Project Management: Business Approaches to Organizing a Teacher’s Workflow” by Andriy SKOROMNYI, Delivery Manager at Promova, VP of Academic Outreach at PMI Ukraine Chapter.
The conference became a platform for sharing experiences and visions of the future of education, in particular
- use of the regulatory framework;
- strategy of digital development of innovations in Ukraine until 2030;
- integration of business innovations into the educational process;
- implementation of artificial intelligence in teaching;
- development of teachers’ emotional intelligence;
- use of project management in the academic environment.
This event has become an invaluable source of ideas and practical solutions that will soon be integrated into the Department’s educational process.
