On June 2, 2025, the personal exhibition of paintings by Mykola Osypchuk, artist and senior lecturer at the Department of Digital Art of KNUTD, titled “Unfictional Stories” opened at the “Art Space” Exhibition Center of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.

The next personal exhibition at the “Art Space” was opened by Ivan Gryshchenko, Rector of KNUTD, Doctor of Economics, Professor, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Ivan Mykhailovych emphasized that the exhibition is a significant event for the University, as it not only promotes our educational institution but also inspires students to engage in creative experimentation in the field of fine arts.

The event was hosted by Liudmyla Ardelyan, Honored Artist of Ukraine, renowned Ukrainian theater and film actress, and Associate Professor at the Department of Performing Arts and Culture of Kyiv National University of Theatre and Film. She noted that Mykola Osypchuk is presenting his painting exhibition “Unfictional Stories” at the “Mystetskyi Prostir” exhibition center. The exhibition is dedicated to the ordinary person – their existence, spiritual quest, and moments of inner self-affirmation. At the heart of the artistic narrative lies a deep exploration of how color influences human perception of reality and the emotional state of the soul.

The grand opening of the exhibition was attended by Anatoliy Pavlenko, a Ukrainian artist and teacher, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. The artist greeted the author with warm words, noted the creative and non-standard approach in the compositional solution of the artistic image of the canvases.

Ulyana Balan, artist, illustrator, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, member of the Bureau of the Graphics Section of the Union, and senior lecturer at the Department of Digital Art of the National University of Fine Arts of Ukraine, delivered a welcoming speech. She shared her impressions of the exhibition, noting that Mykola Osypchuk’s works create a distinctive visual language – both intellectual and deeply emotional.

The artist was also congratulated by Olesya Rybchenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Digital Art, PhD, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (NUA), member of the National Ukrainian Committee of the International Association of Fine Arts. The artist noted that Mykola Osypchuk’s compositions are distinguished by laconicism, color integrity and expressive decorativeness.

Among the distinguished guests at the exhibition opening was Ostap Kovalchuk, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Professor of the Department of Fine Arts at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, PhD in Art History, Associate Professor. As a traditional participant in artistic events at KNUTD, he congratulated the artist and emphasized the high level of organization of art projects at the University.

Antonina Dubrivna, Head of the Department of Digital Art, PhD in Art History, Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and the Union of Designers of Ukraine, sent a video greeting to her colleague. In it, she noted that Osypchuk’s paintings are about color as a visual element. The artist explores how color combinations influence the viewer’s psycho-emotional state and how decorative flatness can be used to achieve depth of artistic expression.
The grand opening of the personal exhibition was attended by Kostiantyn Cherniavsky, Chairman of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Honored Artist of Ukraine, Academician of the International Academy of Education and Science, Candidate of Art History, and Associate Professor at NAOMA. He congratulated the artist on the exhibition’s opening and wished him creative inspiration and success in future projects.
Natalia Ostapenko, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion, Doctor of Technical Sciences, and Professor, also delivered a welcoming speech. She described the presented works as a form of visual meditation, offering the viewer not only aesthetic immersion but also a psycho-emotional dialogue with the paintings. Mykola Osypchuk’s art is a space of silence, color, and humanity – not inventing the world, but attentively observing it.
