Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design since 2021 has been a member of Cumulus - an international association of universities and colleges of art, design and media. Cumulus is the only global association focused on education and research in the field of art and design, which currently consists of 395 members from 71 countries around the world. Participation in world-renowned organizations confirms the high level of design education at KNUTD.

On June 6, 2025, on behalf of the rector of the university Ivan Gryshchenko, Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Kalyna Pashkevych, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Doctor of Engineering, Professor, took part in the CUMULUS General Assembly online.

Cumulus Secretariat Member Eija Salmi spoke about the 23 new members who joined the association in 2025 – educational institutions from China, Australia, Japan, Canada, Finland, Estonia, Germany, Serbia, India, and other countries around the world.

The General Assembly approved the main strategic goals recommended by the President and Executive Board, approved the annual budget of the association. The Executive Board of CUMULUS reported on financial expenditures in the current 2025.

The President and Executive Board for 2025-2028 were elected. Cumulus members congratulated President Lorenzo Imbezi, PhD, Professor and Director of Design Studies at Sapienza University, Rome, Italy, who was elected for a second term.

Next, 10 new members of the organization's secretariat of the CUMULUS from different countries of the world were discussed and elected.

At the meeting of the Cumulus Association, words of support for Ukraine and condemnation of the actions of the aggressor state were heard.
