TRAINING “MENTAL HEALTH – AN INVESTMENT IN CAREER SUCCESS

On May 28, 2025, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design hosted a training session titled “Mental Health – an Investment in Career Success”. The event was organized by the KNUTD Center for Employment and Career in collaboration with the Kyiv City Employment Center and the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies of KNUTD. The training was attended by students representing the following academic programs: Physical Culture and Sports; Economics and International Economic Relations / specialization C1.09 International Economic Relations; Economics and International Economic Relations / specialization C1.01 Economics; Political Science; Law; Philology / specialization B11.041 Germanic Languages and Literatures (including Translation), first language – English; Chemical Technologies and Engineering; Environmental Protection Technologies; Biotechnologies and Bioengineering; Pharmacy (with specializations).

The training featured speakers Lyudmyla Sosnovska, Leading Career Guidance Specialist at the Kyiv City Employment Center, and Iryna Safonova, Psychologist at the “Career Center” branch of the Kyiv City Employment Center.

The event aimed to raise young people's awareness of the importance of psychological well-being in professional development and to provide practical tools for maintaining mental health amid modern-day challenges. Participants received valuable advice on managing stress, maintaining inner balance, practicing effective self-organization, and building resilience against professional burnout.

Particular attention during the training was devoted to practical techniques for stress management, emotional regulation, and the development of personal resources essential for a confident career start and sustainable professional growth.

The participants shared positive feedback and highlighted the relevance of the topic, emphasizing its significance for the professional development of today’s youth. The Kyiv City Employment Center provided KNUTD’s Center for Employment and Career with a comprehensive set of informational materials, including a basic toolkit of exercises for stress management and mental well-being. These materials will be useful for those seeking to maintain emotional balance and strengthen their resilience during professional growth.
