On June 9, 2025, was held a round table with stakeholders, involving the academic community, employers, higher education students, and representatives of student self-government to discuss the educational programs of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education of the Department of Smart Economy.
The participants of the round table discussed the content and components of the International Economics and Smart Economy educational programs of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education in the specialty C1 Economics and International Economic Relations with a specialization in C1. 01 Economics, field of knowledge C “Social Sciences, Journalism, Information and International Relations.”
The event was moderated by Polina PUZYROVA, Doctor of Economics, Professor, guarantor of the International Economics educational program, and Zoryna SHATSKA, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor, guarantor of the Smart Economy educational program.

During the round table, members of the working groups on the development of the EP, scientific and pedagogical workers, students of the Department of Smart Economy, and a representative of the student self-government made proposals and familiarized themselves with the stakeholders' vision of the educational components of the EP and the need to deepen the study of certain topics in order to improve the quality of training of specialists, professional orientation, and employment prospects. Anna PISKUN, a student of the BSEPsk(n)-22 group, proposed introducing the discipline “Artificial Intelligence in Economics” as part of the training programs “International Economics” and “Smart Economy.”
During the discussion, stakeholders paid particular attention to modernizing the content of educational programs, updating programs in line with current labor market requirements, the development of international markets and digitalization, opportunities for further employment of graduates, and ensuring academic integrity.
Dmitry IRNAZAROV proposed introducing the subject “Digital Platforms” as part of the Smart Economy educational program.
Yevgen SADOVSKY proposed introducing the subject “International Security” as part of the “International Economics” study program.
As part of the implementation of a practice-oriented approach at the Department of Smart Economy, stakeholders invited students pursuing higher education in economics to undergo industrial training at their own enterprises with the possibility of further employment.
Anna Oleshko, head of the Department of Smart Economics, thanked those present for their suggestions.
Following the round table, a number of proposals from stakeholders were agreed upon to improve the educational and professional programmes ‘International Economics’ and ‘Smart Economy’, which will be taken into account by the working group for the implementation of the EPP at the Department of Smart Economy.
