On behalf of the rector of the university Ivan Gryshchenko, Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Kalyna Pashkevych, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor from June 17 to 20, 2025, represented the university at the events of the European League of Institutions of the Art (ELIA).

Since 2024, KNUTD has been a member of the global European network ELIA, which provides a dynamic platform for the exchange and development of higher art education, representing more than 300 thousand students from more than 290 universities from 54 countries in various fields of art and design.

From June 17 to 20, 2025 ELIA participants were hospitably welcomed by the Kristiania University of Applied Sciences, Oslo, Norway.

On June 17, 2025, a representative of the KNUTD took part in the event "UAx Day" - a meeting of representatives of art institutions of Ukraine that are members of ELIA. The participants of the meeting summed up the platform's activities over the previous three years and discussed plans for 2025-2028. Uliana Furiv and Dasha Logvynova, managers of the UAx platform of ELIA, comprehensively support art institutions from Ukraine and constantly implement new initiatives to support students and teachers.

Thanks to the support of the UAx platform and the Abakanovych Charitable Foundation (AACCF), KNUTD students will have the opportunity to receive a UAx scholarship, mentorship from the sister school, the National Academy of the Arts Oslo (Norway), and the opportunity to participate in the UAx student community.

On June 18, 2025, a visit to the National Academy of the Arts Oslo (KHIO) took place, discussing ways of cooperation between KNUTD and the sister school. The Dean of the Faculty of Design of KHIO, Andreas Berg, shared his experience in organizing a summer school for art students and conducted a tour of the academy.

From June 18 to 20, 2025, the ELIA Academy 2025 conference took place. The conference program was rich: workshops, lectures, discussions, performances were held, at which participants from various institutions around the world shared their best practices in teaching art students, discussed topical issues in art education, current trends and conceptual directions.

During the conference, contacts with the ELIA executive board, managers of the “UAx” platform were established, communication with partner institutions from many countries took place, and possible areas of cooperation between KNUTD and art institutions around the world were outlined.

Throughout the conference, sincere support for Ukrainian universities during the difficult wartime period for our country was felt. ELIA Executive Board members and participants from different countries wished for a speedy end to the war in Ukraine.
