During the 2024-2025 academic year, students of the Department of Art and Fashion Design, enrolled in the “Fashion Design” educational program, participated in and received awards at both international and national competitions, including “Suzirya Kashtan”, “Pecherski Kashtany”, and “Look into the Future”. They also showcased their collections at fashion shows in Poland, Moldova, Romania, and the United Kingdom.
Students from the Faculty of Design won the All-Ukrainian Competition for Young Fashion Designers “The Colors of Podillia-2025”, founded by Khmelnytskyi National University. The competition’s final round took place on June 13, 2025.
KNUTD students presented several collections in different categories. Yelyzaveta Polyakova, a second-year student at the Department of Art and Fashion Design, received the GRAND PRIX with her collection “STITCHES”.
Saiman El Sabary was awarded third place in the Accessories and Footwear competition for his collection titled “Come Up and Get Me”.
Young designers Maxim Kudrevsky and Anna Kuzmenko, students and graduates of the Department of Art and Fashion Design, also made it to the final round of the XXVI All-Ukrainian Competition for Young Fashion Designers, “Look into the Future: Khanenko Museum Collection”. This year’s competition focused on the heritage of the Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko National Museum of Art, and the collections were based on this theme. The finalists took part in a residency program from May 29 to June 2, 2025, in Kyiv. The program combined professional expertise and cultural experience and was curated by Ivan Frolov, a renowned Ukrainian designer. Participants met with teams from Ukrainian brands, including Ruslan Baginskiy, COAT by Katya Silchenko, and GUNIA Project. They also worked with stylists and experts from the Khanenko Museum. Each participant presented two ready-to-wear looks and sketches of a future collection.
