On 20 June 2025, during their stage speech exam, first-year students (group BAMP1-24) majoring in 026 Performing Arts at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (V.A. Kino workshop) premiered the lyrical performance " I'M JUST WAITING FOR SPRING." The performance, which became a real event for the Department of Performing Arts and Culture, was dedicated to the work of the outstanding Kyiv poet and writer Maria Plevy (Maria Yakusevich).

D.V. Kino, lecturer in stage speech and acting skills, together with artistic director and senior lecturer V.A. Kino, created a unique composition that combined 16 poems and three short stories by Maria. The performance was enriched with singing, music and plastic sketches, which allowed students to demonstrate a high level of acting skills and a deep understanding of the material.

A special moment was the presence of the author herself, Maria Frantsivna Plevy, who expressed her admiration for the sincere and honest performance of the young talents. ‘At some point, I completely forgot that these were my texts and became a spectator who was enjoying herself,’ commented Maria Frantsivna, congratulating the actors on their successful premiere and wishing them a happy creative future.

The event was attended by teachers of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture of Stage Speech Lyudmila Ardelian and Alla Bineeva, head of the department Vera Vladimirovna Burnazova, teacher of stage movement Nazar Maiboroda, as well as students from other workshops, guests, friends and relatives of first-year students.

The premiere of ‘I'M JUST WAITING FOR SPRING’ was a great success, confirming the high potential of young actors and the inspired work of teachers. The workshop plans to organise performances at various creative venues in Kyiv.
