On 26 June 2025, first-year students majoring in 026 Performing Arts at the Department of Performing Arts and Culture of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design presented a performance exam in acting skills dedicated to Ukrainian prose.

The student actors demonstrated a deep understanding and their own interpretation of iconic works of Ukrainian literature. Under the guidance of teachers D.V. Kino and V.A. Kino, first-year students prepared a staging of Mykhailo Kotsyubynsky's short story ‘Smile,’ two scenes from Olga Kobylianska's novel ‘The Land,’ and a scene from Lesia Ukrainka's novella ‘By the Sea.’

Each performance demonstrated a high level of training and mastery of basic acting skills acquired during the first year of study: the ability to feel confident on stage, interact with a partner, perceive events and circumstances, and act in the given circumstances. Representatives of the department highly appreciated the creative achievements of the first-year students.

The show took place on the stage of the Koryfei training laboratory. We would like to thank the students for their excellent work, the teachers for their inspiration and support, and all the guests for the warm atmosphere and sincere emotions!
