The scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Philology and Translation of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design fruitfully cooperates with stakeholders from business to immerse the applicant of the educational program "The English Language: Translation in Business Communications" of the specialty 035 Philology in the international business environment, to gain professional experience and to promote the development of future competitive specialists.
Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) is a long-standing partner of the Department of Philology and Translation, which unites entrepreneurs, legal entities, citizens of Ukraine, and develops Ukrainian business, which is in demand on the world market. UCCI representatives regularly participate in professionally oriented events and monitor the educational program of the Department of Philology and Translation "The English Language: Translation in Business Communications", provide the opportunity for KNUTD applicants to undergo production (translating) practice on the basis of their organization, manage the practice from UCCI andkindly invite our applicants to join the UCCI events and try themselves as professional translators.
During May 2025, the 1st-4th year applicants of the educational program "The English Language: Translation in Business Communications" Popova Iryna, Moskalenko Diana, Ungurian Oleksandra, Alioshyna Kateryna, Avramenko Sofiia, Konovaliuk Anna, Borodinova Lina, Dovgopola Nataliia, Shevchenko Pavlo took part in a number of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry events: “Women 2024 Award”, Ukrainian-Chinese Business Forum, the 8th National Forum "Recovery and Development of SME 2025", the 5th Business Forum of the Ukrainian Diaspora, etc.
The future translators had a unique opportunity to take part in the organization of the Chamber events devoting to the annual awarding of women leaders who contribute to the development of business, social aspects, diplomacy and other areas of activity; establishing contacts with representatives of business circles, entrepreneurs, manufacturers and exporters interested in establishing direct cooperation with Chinese companies that are actively developing international partnerships in Ukraine and the EU countries; international discussion of the priorities of restoring small and medium-sized businesses in wartime and post-war reconstruction; bringing together leaders of government structures, international organizations, business and Ukrainian communities from around the world to discuss the unique role of the diaspora in supporting Ukraine during the war, reconstruction, attracting investment and promoting a positive international image of the country.
The applicants of the Department of Philology and Translation of KNUTD gained professional experience in the real business environment: they participated in organizing the above-mentioned events, observed the work of experienced translators, assisted them, communicated with international guests and were inspired by professional activity in a successful large and well-coordinated team.
