PARTICIPATION OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES OF KNUTD IN THE PREPARATION OF AN ACCREDITATION CASE FOR THE PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION "ENERGY AUDITOR OF PROCESSES"

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between Kyiv National University of Technology and Design (KNUTD) and the International Agency for Professional Qualifications (IAPC), representatives from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology participated in an important initiative aimed at training specialists in energy efficiency.

In particular, Mykhailo SHEREMET, Director of the Centre for Energy Efficiency, and Iryna SHVEDCHYKOVA, Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electromechanics, took an active part in the development of materials for accreditation under the professional qualification "Energy Auditor of Processes".

Over the past year, the IAPC has been operating a Qualification Centre in the field of energy, which has the authority to assess learning outcomes, as well as to assign or confirm professional qualifications. During this time, more than 25 specialists have received the qualification of "Energy Auditor of Buildings" and are successfully working in the industry.

In July 2025, the IAPC Energy Qualification Centre was accredited by the National Qualifications Agency for the professional qualification "Energy Process Auditor". An important role in this process was played by KNUTD specialists, who made a significant contribution to the development of regulatory documents and procedures, in particular the "Procedure for assigning/confirming professional qualifications", as well as prepared a set of test tasks to assess the professional competencies of applicants.

The cooperation between Kyiv National University of Technology and Design and the International Agency for Professional Qualifications is a strategically important example of synergy between the academic and professional communities. Such interaction contributes not only to the introduction of modern standards for training specialists in the field of energy but also forms a holistic system for assessing and recognising professional qualifications that meets the current needs of the labour market and the challenges of sustainable development.

KNUTD will continue to actively participate in the formation of the national system of professional qualifications, contributing to the development of quality education and the introduction of innovations in the field of energy efficiency. Joint work with the IAPC opens up new opportunities for the integration of academic experience and professional expertise in order to train competitive specialists who are able to meet the modern challenges and demands of the Ukrainian economy.
