In the 2025-2026 academic year, the student community of the Department of Philology and Translation at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design grew by more than 40 first-year students who began their studies in the educational programme English Language: Translation in Business Communication.

After the celebrations in honour of the applicants of the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies, on 18 August 2025, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the department held an organisational meeting with future translators of the BAM-25 group of the 1st year of full-time education. The lecturers told the students about the features of the chosen educational programme, the academic discipline, the nuances of working in a modular environment, and also answered the students' questions.

On 28 August 2025, the Head of the Department, Elizaveta Isakova, PhD in Philology, and Associate Professor of the Department, Svitlana Dvorianchykova, PhD in Philology, initiated an online meeting with first-year students of BZAM-25 and BDAM-25 of the correspondence and distance learning programmes. The philologists had the opportunity to meet representatives of the department and their classmates, talk about themselves and their expectations from studying at our university. The teachers talked about the peculiarities of studying in the first semester of the first year and extracurricular activities, outlined the content of the educational components and encouraged students to actively start working. The future translators were eagerly awaiting the meeting, so they prepared numerous questions, to which they received comprehensive answers.

At the Department of Philology and Translation, future translators will gain professional knowledge, practical experience and open up career prospects.
