INITIATION OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION WITH THE STEINBEIS KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER FOUNDATION (GERMANY)

On August 28, 2025, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) was honored with an official working visit by Jürgen Raizner, Director of the Head Office of the Steinbeis Transfer Center East-West Cooperation (Stuttgart, Germany), and Roxana Boboruta, Project Manager of the Steinbeis Transfer Center.

The primary objective of the Steinbeis Transfer Center is to foster the development of a modern business environment and to facilitate the implementation of innovations in Central and Eastern Europe. The Center is dedicated to identifying optimal locations for investment, bridging the gap between the generation of innovative ideas and their practical realization, supporting effective collaboration between academia and industry, and advancing entrepreneurship grounded in knowledge and scientific expertise.

During the visit, a meeting was held between the German delegation and the University heads, including Acting Rector, Professor Oleksandra Olshanska. The distinguished guests were presented with an overview of the University’s principal research areas and its international projects. The parties also reached an agreement to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between KNUTD and the Steinbeis Transfer Center East-West Cooperation. Notably, KNUTD has been selected as the second university in Ukraine where the establishment of a Center for Technology Transfer and Research Development under the auspices of the Steinbeis Transfer Center is planned.

It is assumed that the main activity of the Center will be aimed at supporting advanced technical solutions in the field of sustainable energy. The working meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, Professor Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko, and representatives of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies, in particular the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Ihor Panasiuk, the Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electromechanics, Associate Professor Dmytro Statsenko, and leading professors of the Department. The guests from Germany got acquainted with the modern laboratories of the University and visited the Energy Efficiency Center of KNUTD.

The working meeting took place in a constructive and business-oriented atmosphere. It is anticipated that the expansion of cooperation between KNUTD and the Steinbeis Transfer Center Foundation will create new opportunities for the University’s researchers to establish partnerships with European counterparts and to engage in joint scientific, technological, and entrepreneurial projects.
