On August 27, 2025, students, colleagues, and followers gathered in the village of Pashkivka, Nizhyn District, Chernihiv Region, to honor the memory of the outstanding Ukrainian educator, academician, and founder of pedagogical mastery, Ivan Ziaziun (March 3, 1938 – August 29, 2014). A man who left behind not only a scientific legacy, but also a whole philosophy of education, once again united around him those for whom education is a calling, a service, and an art.

The event was attended by Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Anatoliy Kuzminsky, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Professional Education in Technologies and Design Alla Semenova, Master of Professional Education, Daria Bilotska, Senior Laboratory Assistant at the Department of POSTD, and others. They visited the Teacher’s grave, laid flowers, and bowed their heads in deep gratitude and respect.

A touching part of the commemoration was the visit to the memorial museum-estate, which preserves the atmosphere of the academician’s home – his books, personal belongings, documents, photographs, and symbols of his creative life. This space stands as living testimony that Ivan Ziaziun’s ideas remain relevant and continue to inspire new generations of educators.

Ivan Andriyovych remains a model of spiritual greatness, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to Ukrainian education. His “Pedagogy of Goodness” has become a compass for those who seek to educate not only the mind but also the heart. Today, it continues to live on through scholars, teachers, and students who strive to advance Ukrainian science, strengthen the state, and enrich the nation’s cultural and educational potential.
Although Ivan Ziaziun passed away in August 2014, his words, philosophy, and humanity endure. True teachers never die – they live on in their students.
