On August 26, 2025, second-year students of the Bachelor’s program in Psychology had a unique opportunity to study not in classrooms, but amidst the greenery of Mariinsky Park and near the capital’s singing fountains. On this day, theory met practice, and academic knowledge intertwined with the living breath of nature.
Modern education is increasingly seeking new formats that combine learning with personal development. The “Nature Therapy” format proved to be exactly that – a space where the curriculum comes to life, allowing each participant to discover their inner resources and learn to manage their emotional state.

Near the fountains, students immersed themselves in mindfulness practice. The rhythm of the water became their ally: it helped them release tension, feel their bodies and breathing, and open up to the silence within themselves. This simple but profound experience showed how important it is to “stop” from time to time in the frantic rhythm of a big city.

And then there is Mariinsky Park. Here, among old trees and a space steeped in history, a body-oriented practice called “Breathing Triangle” took place. Its author and lecturer at the Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design, Olha Vavulova, taught students to integrate natural resources into their lives, awaken energy through breathing, and find inner balance.

The value of the class was obvious: developing self-regulation skills; deeper awareness of one’s own body and emotions; practical combination of knowledge with the living energy of the environment.

On this day, Mariinsky Park became not only a place of beauty, but also a space of power. Here, in the heart of the capital, students felt that alongside the noise of the city, it is always possible to find harmony and support – you just need to stop and take a deep breath.
The practical lesson in the “Nature Therapy” format became more than just an educational event – it was an experience that united science, practice, and nature into a single harmonious flow.
The atmosphere of sincerity and warmth made it an unforgettable and inspiring step toward both personal and professional growth.
