From the very first days of the 2025–2026 academic year, the friendly team of the Faculty of Design has been actively supporting first-year students in immersing themselves in the university’s educational and scientific environment.
Traditionally, newcomers are introduced to the wide range of opportunities offered by Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, enabling them to pursue their dreams, acquire professional competencies, and become true experts in their chosen field.
During the first weeks of the academic year, first-year students of the Faculty of Design, majoring in B2 "Design" at the bachelor's level, enrolled in the educational programs "Fashion Design," "Graphic Design," "Environmental Design," and "Multimedia Design," together with their academic advisors, were introduced to the resources and opportunities provided by the KNUTD Scientific and Technical Library and the KNUTD Career and Employment Center.
The meetings were held under the slogan: "Your Space for Growth: Knowledge + Science + Career."
The KNUTD Scientific and Technical Library was presented by its Director, Tetiana Bukoros, who introduced a variety of resources available for learning and creative development. Design students learned about the use of electronic catalogs, multimedia services, periodicals in art and design, as well as access to leading international scientific databases such as Web of Science and Scopus.
Liudmyla Krekhova, Head of the Collection Storage Department, and Olena Kotvytska, Head of the Information Technology and Computer Support Department, presented information to the participants about the library’s structure, the opportunities offered through the KNUTD Scientific and Technical Library website, and access to the electronic catalog of academic literature and periodicals.
First-year students discovered the library as a modern educational and scientific space where knowledge meets creativity. They registered as users, explored the collections and electronic services, and gained their first practical experience working with scientific literature.
The opportunities offered to students through cooperation with the KNUTD Career and Employment Center were presented by its Director, Nataliia Fastovets, who spoke about the organization of internships and practical training, career consultations and workshops, collaboration with employers, and participation in career guidance events.
Particular emphasis was placed on the steps students can already take today toward building their own professional image. These include participating in training sessions, exploring modern self-presentation practices, working on portfolio development, and acquiring other competencies that contribute to building a successful career.
The team of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design works with inspiration to create the conditions for the development of the creative and professional potential of our talented students.
