Students of the Department of Professional Education in Technologies and Design, specialty A5.36 Professional Education (Technology of Light Industry Products), actively participate in volunteer activities of the National Scout Organization of Ukraine “Plast”. Plast is a whole universe with its own laws and oath, a unique language of names, Ukrainian songs and traditions, historically unchanged uniforms, clubs, and trainings. It provides an environment that fosters self-education and the development of responsible, socially active youth.
The main goal of the Plast method is to nurture patriotic young men and women while developing their leadership, project management, time management, and other soft skills. The most important and final stage of the Plast year is the camps, which vary in scale – from kurinny camps (for a limited circle of young people) to interregional camps (bringing together participants from different countries).
The camp is organized by a whole team of educators – from novice volunteers to experienced Plast members. One of the Plast volunteers, for many years, is a student of Group MgPT-24 of the second (master’s) level – Viacheslav Gorbach.
Viacheslav joined Plast at the age of 6 as a young member and has been an active member for 16 years. For more than 5 years, he has been organizing various training sessions, events, and camps for young people (involved in the work of Plast summer camps – kurins, national camps, and international camps), and has held various roles – from commandant to instructor. However, his main areas of activity are communications and education in Troop № 97 named after Maksym Kryvonos, where he himself was once a youth. Viacheslav, with his well-formed Plast worldview, sets a strong example in knowledge, skills, and responsibility. He supports young men and women in their individual self-education through his advice and guidance, and ensures that their behavior and work align with Plast principles and rules.
Let’s work together to raise young patriots for the future of Ukraine!
