On September 7, 2025, a show of collections by young Ukrainian designers in the nomination «New Names» was held at Ukrainian Fashion Week, among which were collections of students of the Department of Art and Fashion Design of KNUTD. Young talents studying in the educational program "Fashion Design" worthily presented their creativity and once again confirmed the high level of training of designers at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.
3rd year student Viktoriia Skok (brand VVICS) presented the collection «Shedding Silence». According to the talented author: "The collection is created for those who have gone through the test of silence, who have learned to live with tension inside, but have not allowed it to break them. Each image is a symbol of the fact that even in moments when words are superfluous, you can speak through form, texture and color."
The collection’s palette is built on the contrast of deep dark shades and pure light tones. The models use light and delicate fabrics, satin and chiffon, combined with denser costume materials. The contrast of textures creates a balance between softness and structure, visually emphasizing the idea of combining vulnerability and inner strength.
A creative approach was shown by Saiman El Sabari, a 3rd year student, who presented the “Akhet” collection, inspired by the culture of Egypt. The exquisite products of the collection, made of linen and cotton, combine the “cyberpunk” style with elements of historical costume.
Young designer Artem Pugach (ARTEMIO CHOUETTE brand) presented the collection “Resurrected”, built on an architectural approach to form. Elongated proportions, vertical lines, high collars, voluminous sleeves and accentuated shoulders are the compositional components of the collection. Built on the contrast of dark and light shades, the color scheme combined deep graphite, rich dark brown, chocolate and warm wheat with milky and light gray accents, as well as black and white as an allusion to the combination of light and shadow.
Lecturers and students of the Department of Art and Fashion Design came to support the young talents at the show. For several years now, KNUTD students have been participating in the shows as designers, as well as volunteers, helping to organize the show, which gives them the opportunity to learn the basics of the profession.
Congratulations to Artem Pugach, Viktoriia Skok, and Saiman El Sabari on a successful show! We sincerely congratulate you on your success and wish you further professional development!
Thank you to Ms. Iryna Danylevska, co-founder and CEO of Ukrainian Fashion Week, for supporting young talents!
