On September 2, 2025, at a meeting of the one-time specialized academic council PhD10480 at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, a dissertation defense was held by Dmytro Bezuglyi on the topic “Improvement of Sewing Machines for the Production of Reinforcing Elements of Composite Products” for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of knowledge 13 “Mechanical Engineering,” specialty 133 “Industrial Mechanical Engineering.” The dissertation was carried out under the supervision of Oleksandr Manoilenko, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, KNUTD.

The members of the one-time specialized academic council were:

– Chair – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Liudmyla Halavska, Head of the Research Division of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design;

– Reviewers – Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Mykola Rubanka, Associate Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design; Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Serhii Pleshko, Associate Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design;

– Opponents – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Mark Zaliubovskyi, Professor of the Department of Automobile Transport and Modern Engineering, Open International University of Human Development “Ukraine”; Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Vitalii Neimak, Head of the Department of Machines and Apparatuses, Electromechanical and Energy Systems, Khmelnytskyi National University.

The dissertation by postgraduate student of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dmytro Bezuglyi, is devoted to the improvement of equipment for the production of reinforcing elements of composite products with the aim of automating the production process, improving product quality, and expanding the scope of application in the light, aerospace, automotive, defense, and other industries.

The members of the specialized academic council noted that the dissertation of Dmytro Bezuglyi, in terms of its relevance, novelty, problem statement and method of solving the outlined tasks, theoretical and practical foundations, and validity of the obtained results, meets the requirements of the Procedure for Awarding the Doctor of Philosophy Degree and Canceling the Decision of the One-Time Specialized Academic Council of a Higher Education Institution or Research Institution on Awarding the Doctor of Philosophy Degree, approved by Resolution No. 44 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of January 12, 2022, as well as the Requirements for Dissertation Preparation, approved by Order No. 40 of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine of January 12, 2017.

As a result of the discussions regarding the presented research, the open vote of the specialized academic council members was unanimous – to award Dmytro Bezuglyi the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of knowledge 13 “Mechanical Engineering,” specialty 133 “Industrial Mechanical Engineering.”
