According to the WHO definition, “mental health includes emotional, psychological, and social well-being”. Self-help in relation to mental health involves active practices aimed at improving and supporting all of these components, which are influenced by a variety of factors. Regardless of a person’s state of mind on a given day, week, or month, self-care remains an important aspect that can enhance overall quality of life.
