On September 16, 2025, associate professors of the Department of Professional Education in Technologies and Design, Alla Kolodyazhna, PhD in Psychology; Rymma Kyrychenko, PhD in Psychology; Inna Kosyak, PhD in Pedagogy, together with Aliona Tykhomirova, PhD in Psychology, Senior Lecturer, took part in the first webinar of the “Training School on Mental Health”, organized within the framework of the “How Are You?” University Community. The topic of the webinar was “Developing Resilience Skills in Wartime”.
The psychoeducational project “Training School for Mental Health” is implemented by the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program “How Are You?” initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska.

The speaker at the event, Aliona Sadykina, emphasized that developing resilience skills is a key factor in psychological well-being and professional stability. According to her, developing resilience involves gradually building qualities such as optimism, positive thinking, emotional self-regulation, flexibility of thinking, and the ability to build strong social connections. These skills help people effectively adapt to difficult or stressful situations without losing their inner balance and motivation.

Ms. Sadykina emphasized that important steps toward strengthening resilience include: focusing on what can be controlled rather than on external circumstances beyond one’s control; setting realistic and achievable goals to prevent feelings of helplessness; analyzing and learning from past experiences to better understand personal resources and limitations; taking regular care of both physical and emotional well-being through rest, healthy eating, physical activity, and hobbies; and seeking support from loved ones or specialists to avoid facing difficulties alone.
According to the speaker, developing resilience is a long but extremely important process that not only makes it easier to cope with crisis situations but also allows you to grow on a personal and professional level.

We express our sincere gratitude to the organizers for a productive and meaningful discussion!
