On September 9, 2025, students of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies had the opportunity to listen to a lecture entitled “Academic Integrity, which was delivered by Olena Stepanova, Professor, Doctor of Cultural Studies, Head of the Center for Quality Management of Educational Activities at the University.
Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design is an active member of the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI), an international association that brings together educational institutions, research organizations, and experts working to promote high ethical standards in education and science.
As part of this initiative, it has already become a tradition at KNUTD to hold thematic lectures for first-year students at the beginning of the academic year. This year, Olena Stepanova delivered a lecture “Academic Integrity” for students of the following specialties: F2 Software Engineering, F3 Computer Science, F7 Computer Engineering, G3 Electrical Engineering (Electromechanics), G7 Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies, G9 Applied Mechanics, G11 Mechanical Engineering (by specialization), and E6 Applied Physics and Nanomaterials, Nano- and Microtechnologies in Creative Design.
The purpose of the event was to familiarize future specialists in technical fields with the basic principles of academic ethics, which are an integral part of the educational process and an important foundation for professional growth.
The students showed genuine interest in the lecture and actively engaged in the discussion. For first-year students, this event served as an important opportunity to develop proper academic habits that will support their further studies and professional development.
