On September 11, 2025, a lecture by Olha Tserkovna, an architect and designer from Kharkiv, was held on the topic "Features of Working on an Interior Design Project in Real Conditions", along with an introductory tour of the FREEDOM company showroom. The event took place in the Furniture House (Kyiv), where the showroom is located. FREEDOM specializes in supplying furniture, lighting, and sanitaryware for premium-class interiors.
Among the attendees were Hennadii Zubko, General Director of FREEDOM; Antonina Vekhteva, Sales and Procurement Manager; Tetiana Buhlakova, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design at KNUTD; as well as bachelor’s and master’s students of the “Environmental Design” program.
During the lecture, Olha Tserkovna shared practical insights from her professional experience, covering the following key topics:
The lecturer illustrated her points with completed design projects, highlighting the stages of planning and execution, and addressed common challenges when working with different categories of clients. The presentation provided students with valuable practical insights essential for developing their professional competencies.
After the lecture, Antonina Vekhteva, Sales and Procurement Manager of FREEDOM, led a tour of the showroom, presenting innovative technologies and materials used in the production of furniture from leading Italian brands. Students had the opportunity to test modern furniture mechanisms, lighting systems, and evaluate textures and the quality of innovative materials.
At the end of the visit, there was a discussion on the future development of the “Environmental Design” educational programs (bachelor's and master's levels). Participants supported the idea of continuing practical offsite learning experiences, and representatives of FREEDOM proposed that students use the company’s showrooms and catalogs as a practical resource for their design work within the educational program.
