On September 10, 2025, first-year students of the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, enrolled in the G1 Chemical Technologies and Engineering program (specializations: Innovative Pharmaceuticals, Chemical Technologies and Engineering) and the G21 Biotechnology and Bioengineering program (specialization: Biotechnology), met with representatives of the KNUTD Scientific and Technical Library and the KNUTD Career and Employment Center.The meeting was also attended by PhD holder and Deputy Dean, Oksana Butenko.

The event was held under the slogan “Your Space for Growth: Knowledge + Science + Career.”

The KNUTD Scientific and Technical Library was represented by Tetiana Bukoros, PhD in Political Science, Associate Professor, and Director of the KNUTD Library; Liudmyla Krekhova, Head of the Library Collections Department; and Olena Kotvytska, Head of the Information Technology and Computer Support Department.

Staff of the KNUTD Scientific and Technical Library introduced students to the use of electronic catalogs, scientific databases such as Web of Science and Scopus, multimedia resources, periodical catalogs, and the library’s electronic services.

 First-year students registered as library users, learned about the structure of the library’s collections, and received their first practical tips on how to search for educational and scientific literature.

The opportunities provided by the KNUTD Career and Employment Center were presented by its Director, Nataliia Fastovets, PhD in Public Administration, Associate Professor. She outlined the Center’s areas of activity, including the organization of internships and practical placements, training sessions, consultations, and cooperation with employers.

Special attention was given to the opportunities students can already take advantage of today to start building their career paths — such as developing a personal brand, enhancing soft skills, creating a professional portfolio, and participating in career guidance events.
