Recently, with the support of the primary trade union organization of KNUTD employees, an excursion was organized for university staff and their families to the settlements of Trypillia, Halepya, Vytachiv, and Rzhyshchiv (Kyiv region).
The event began with a visit to the Local History Museum in Halepya, where participants learned about the key milestones in the life of V. Khvoyka, one of the archaeologists who discovered artifacts of an ancient culture dating back 5-6 thousand years B.C., later named the Trypillian culture.
The tourists had the opportunity to see the expositions of the Local History Museum of different periods, namely: prehistoric; from the beginning of our era to the 20th century, in particular the period under the rule of foreign states; the Ukrainian Revolution (1917–1920); Soviet rule (1920–1991); Independence and the present day (1991 – present).

The next stop on the excursion program was the city of Rzhyshchiv. The surrounding landscape is notable for its numerous ravines and hills. Participants enjoyed breathtaking views of the Dnieper River, took photos, and strolled through Rzhyshchiv Park. During the park visit, they also learned about its history and the circumstances of its founding.



Next on the program was the village of Vytachiv, where participants enjoyed a walk and admired the stunning scenery, taking vivid photos against the backdrop of the unique natural landscape of the Kyiv region.

At the end of the excursion, all participants visited the Trypillia Ethno-Historical Complex in the village of Trypillia. There they explored exhibits of Trypillian ceramics, ancient weaving looms and spindles, archaeological discoveries from the Kyiv region, and elements of the region’s intangible cultural heritage. The collection also featured traditional embroidered shirts, towels, and carpets.


All participants enjoyed the excursion and gained many positive emotions and impressions from spending time with colleagues and being close to nature!
