The 2025–2026 academic year for first-year students of the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design began with an introduction to the university’s educational and research environment.As part of the orientation activities, students met with representatives of the KNUTD Scientific and Technical Library and the KNUTD Career and Employment Center.

Under the guidance of academic group curators, the meetings were attended by students enrolled in the following degree programs: B4 Physical Culture and Sports, B12 Fine Arts, Decorative Arts, and Restoration, 026 Performing Arts, B11 Cultural Studies, B11.041 Philology, 054 Sociology, J2 Hotel and Restaurant Management, J3 Tourism and Recreation.

The KNUTD Scientific and Technical Library was represented by its Director, PhD in Political Science Tetiana Bukoros; Head of the Library Collections Preservation Department, Liudmyla Krekhova; Head of the Information Technology and Computer Support Department, Olena Kotvytska; and Head of the Scientific Literature Services Department, Nataliia Nikolaieva.

The students learned about the rules for using the library’s electronic catalogues, information services, periodicals, and international databases such as Web of Science and Scopus.

In the context of open science principles, special attention was given to the importance of adhering to academic integrity when using scientific resources.

The opportunities offered by the KNUTD Career and Employment Center were presented by its Director, PhD in Public Administration Nataliia Fastovets.

The participants were introduced to the key areas of activity of the KNUTD Career and Employment Center, which support young people in confidently shaping their own professional development paths.In particular, the discussion covered the system of career counseling, internship and training programs, communication and self-presentation workshops, as well as cooperation with employers in the fields of culture, tourism, education, sports, media, and creative industries.

The team of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, under the leadership of the administration, creates broad opportunities that support students in realizing their professional potential.
