The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design is opening the world of modern technologies, digital innovations, and professional development to its first-year students.
At the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year, introductory meetings were held between first-year students of the FEIT and representatives of the KNUTD Scientific and Technical Library and the KNUTD Career and Employment Center. These meetings marked the first step in familiarizing students with the university’s scientific and technical resources.
Together with the curators of the academic groups, the meetings were attended by students specializing in E6 Applied Physics and Nanomaterials, F2 Software Engineering, F3 Computer Science, F7 Computer Engineering, G3 Electrical Engineering, G7 Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics, G9 Applied Mechanics, and G11 Mechanical Engineering.
The Scientific and Technical Library of KNUTD was represented by its Director, Candidate of Political Sciences and Associate Professor Tetiana Bukoros; Head of the Collections Storage Department, Liudmyla Krekhova; and Head of the Information Technologies and Computer Support Department, Olena Kotvytska.
During the meetings, first-year students were introduced to a wide range of technical and scientific information resources available at the university library. They also learned about access to the Web of Science and Scopus databases, as well as information sources related to engineering, IT, automation, and more.
The opportunities offered by the KNUTD Career and Employment Center were presented by its Director, Candidate of Sciences in Public Administration and Associate Professor, Nataliia Fastovets. She introduced students to various career development tools, the system of professional consultations, the internship platform, self-presentation training programs, and the university’s cooperation framework with IT companies and partner manufacturing enterprises.
The meetings provided an excellent opportunity for first-year students to gain valuable information about the university’s educational opportunities and to take their first steps toward professional development.
The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies, together with the university administration, is creating an integrated educational and scientific environment that combines knowledge, innovation, and career opportunities.
