On October 16, 2025, Professor of the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business, Doctor of Sciences in Public Administration, Associate Professor Olena Akhmedova conducted an open class in the academic discipline “Restaurant Business” on the topic: “Organisation of the Work of Warehouse, Packaging and Transport Units in Restaurant Enterprises” for the third-year students.
Members of the department and the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries attended the class.
The class was held per the discipline’s working program, with strict adherence to all methodological, didactic, and organisational requirements. The program ensured the implementation of educational objectives and the development of professional competencies.
During the class, students:
became acquainted with the structure and functional responsibilities of warehouse, packaging, and transport units in restaurant enterprises;
studied the procedures for receiving, storing, and issuing raw materials and supplies;
reviewed the requirements for maintaining accounting and accompanying documentation;
analysed the logistics of internal production flows and the interaction between different units;
discussed current approaches to improving the efficiency of warehouse operations in modern restaurant businesses.
The class also had a practical focus – students examined real-world examples of warehouse management software, which they would later practice during laboratory and practical sessions.
The results of the open class confirmed the high level of students’ preparation, the instructor’s methodological competence, and the educational process’s compliance with the requirements of the educational and professional program of the specialty.
