On October 20, 2025, to mark the celebration of the International Day of Intangible Cultural Heritage, students and lecturers of the Department of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Business of the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) took part in a Round Table on the topic: “Reshetylivka White-on-White Embroidery and Carpet Weaving in the Context of Safeguarding Ukraine’s Living Heritage.”

The discussion focused on the unique elements of Ukraine’s intangible cultural heritage, particularly the world-renowned Reshetylivka traditions, which are an invaluable treasure of national culture. Participants addressed issues of preservation, promotion, and transmission of traditional Ukrainian crafts as an integral part of the country’s cultural identity and tourism appeal.

For future professionals in the field of tourism and hospitality, understanding and promoting intangible heritage is a crucial component in creating authentic and attractive tourism products. Participation in such events contributes to the development of professional competencies among students of tourism and hospitality and fosters inter-institutional cooperation in the field of cultural tourism.
