On October 21–22, 2025, a series of meetings of representatives of the Council of Vice-Rectors for Scientific Work of Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and vice-rectors of Polish universities took place in Warsaw (Republic of Poland). The meetings were organized by the Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine and the CRASP Delegation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland, in accordance with the provisions of the joint conclusion of the CRASP Delegation and the Delegation of the Union of Rectors of Ukrainian Universities on expanding the participation of research teams of both countries in joint and international projects, adopted on June 25, 2025 at the Warsaw Polytechnic University.

Vice-Rector Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko presented the achievements of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design in terms of cooperation between science and business according to the algorithm of the existing Educational Investment and Technology Cluster of Light Industry in Kyiv.

During the two-day work, the participants discussed the following issues:

- exchange of experience regarding the peculiarities of the functioning of science at universities in Poland and Ukraine;

- problems of obtaining grant funding and forming joint projects;

- models of "science-business" interaction, characteristic of both countries;

- publication activity and joint initiatives for researchers in Poland and Ukraine;

- formation of consortia with the possibility of joint participation in European Union projects.

The meeting program also included visits to the laboratories of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.

This meeting marked the beginning of a strategic initiative to strengthen bilateral scientific cooperation by officially establishing the Polish-Ukrainian Advisory Group of Vice-Rectors for Scientific Research, which will function as a permanent platform.
