#ERASMUSDAYS2025 WEEK AT KNUTD

As part of the global initiative #ErasmusDays2025, implemented by the Erasmus+ Programme Office of the European Commission in cooperation with the Erasmus+ National Agencies in participating countries from October 13 to 18, 2025, a thematic week was held at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. During this week, a series of educational and outreach events were conducted, aimed at developing international cooperation and fostering a grant culture within the academic community.

The “#ErasmusDays2025” week at KNUTD was organized by the University’s Office for International and Project Activities under the leadership of its director – Doctor of Economics, Professor Viktoriia Margasova.

The #ErasmusDays2025 week at KNUTD kicked off with the workshop “Planning and Organization of Project and Grant Activities” (October 14, 2025).

The speaker of the event – Doctor of Economics, Professor, Project Coach, and Head of the Project Activity Center at the National University “Chernihiv Polytechnic” Nataliia Kholiavko – shared practical advice on writing grant proposals, budget planning, project management, and finding international donor programs.

 

On October 14, the academic community of KNUTD joined an online seminar-discussion hosted by the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine on the topic: “Internationalization as a Driver of Research-Based Higher Education Development: Roadmap.” The event featured a discussion on new strategic approaches to the modernization of university activities.The seminar brought together representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, academic institutions, and experts from the National Team of Higher Education Reform Experts, who outlined trends in integration into the European Higher Education Area and the criteria for evaluating the quality of internationalization.

 

 

The “#ErasmusDays2025” week continued with the cluster seminar “European University Alliances: Cooperation with Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions,” organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine in cooperation with the EU Delegation to Ukraine.Held in a hybrid format on October 16, 2025, the event aimed to boost the participation of Ukrainian higher education institutions in the European University Alliances network, strengthen institutional cooperation, and promote the exchange of best practices within the European Universities initiative.

The seminar participants explored best European practices of integration into transnational educational projects, as well as opportunities for cooperation within Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, and other initiatives.

The seminar also addressed ways to strengthen the role of Ukrainian universities as full-fledged partners in the alliances, taking into account the needs of post-war recovery and development. It served as an important platform for dialogue between representatives of Ukrainian higher education institutions, the European Commission, and coordinators of European University Alliances.

On October 16, 2025, the “#ErasmusDays2025” week program continued with the webinar “Education Without Borders within the InnovaTex Project: International Cooperation for the Development of the Textile Sector and Fashion Industry.”

The webinar was moderated by Kalyna Pashkevych – Dean of the Faculty of Design, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor – and Olena Herasymenko – PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of Costume Art and Design, and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Design at KNUTD. Colleagues from Kherson National Technical University, partners of the InnovaTex project, also joined the event: Mariia Artemenko – PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, First Vice-Rector; Larysa Ponomarenko – Head of the International Office; and Mariia Rastorhuieva – PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Integrated Technologies.

 

 

During the event, the experience of implementing the international Erasmus+ educational project InnovaTex – ERASMUS-EDU-2024-CB-VET – was presented. The project is carried out by a team of researchers from the Faculty of Design at KNUTD within the framework of the KA2 “Cooperation Partnerships” action.Webinar participants learned about the main stages of project proposal preparation, specific features of its implementation, key goals, and practical results achieved within the project.

The “ErasmusDays2025” week held at KNUTD demonstrated a high level of interest from the academic community in international project activities, deepened professional knowledge, and served as a strong impetus for the further development of the university’s international cooperation.
