At the end of September 2025, two educational field trips to the innovative Unit City park were held for bachelor students of the “Environmental Design” educational program. The visits were conducted together with guest lecturer of the “Environmental Design” course, Polina Yakovleva, and PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, group supervisor Oleksandra Shmelova-Nesterenko.

As part of the visit, participants toured several buildings, each demonstrating different approaches to organizing flexible office spaces. Anastasiia Chumak was happy to share insights on coworking design with the students. During the tour, the participants analyzed interior solutions, zoning, materials, lighting, and functional aspects of the spaces.




Special attention was given to the outdoor territory of the innovation park. The landscape design of Unit City combines aesthetics and functionality and features:



The students had the opportunity to explore current spatial design practices, see real-life implemented projects, and consolidate their theoretical knowledge from the “Environmental Design” course.
This format of interacting with real-world examples helps students better understand the requirements for designing contemporary office spaces.
